Yachtsman’s travel policies specialise in long duration trips for both leisure and professional sailing crew, with an emergency assistance service for added assurance. Online application and payment make obtaining a policy a quick and easy process.

What makes the Yachtsman’s Gold special?
- Can cover up to 12 months away from the UK
- Up to £5,000 for additional travel and accommodation expenses in the event that the yacht becomes uninhabitable
- Up to £5,000 for cancellation of race, rally or event booking fees
- Up to £3,000 to rejoin the boat after being repatriated back to the UK or:
- Up to £1,500 to provide a representative (including an employed skipper) to attend the boat in an emergency if the insured cannot travel.
- Up to £5,000,000 medical and repatriation
- Business and Leisure trips including working crews
- Including water skiing, scuba diving and winter skiing.

The Yachtsman’s Classic annual travel insurance is an adaptation of our Yachtsman’s Gold policy, providing similar cover as its sister version but with standard benefits this policy allows us to offer lower premiums, thus broadening the compatibility of GH Insurance and its product to a greater audience within the sailing community. Benefits include; £3,000 in respect of Cancellation and curtailment, a £5,000,000 limit for medical and repatriation expenses, as well as a £20,000 personal accident limit with baggage, personal effects and money all being covered, including a £2,000,000 personal liability limit with £25,000 cover in respect of legal expenses following an injury.

Our Yachtsman’s Single travel insurance policy, which as the name suggests is a single trip policy with Yachtsman’s Classic characteristics, it continues to cater to the needs of the sailing community by providing superior benefits for the yachtsman involved in shorter or less frequent sailing. Benefits include; £3,000 in respect of Cancellation and curtailment, a £5,000,000 limit for medical and repatriation expenses, as well as a £20,000 personal accident limit with baggage, personal effects and money all being covered including a £2,000,000 personal liability limit with £25,000 cover in respect of legal expenses following an injury.

The WORLD ARC brings its own special requirements and we are able to offer participants a special 15 month cover allowing you to have peace of mind that you are covered for the whole duration of the event.
In addition, under the WORLD ARC cover, we are able to provide worthwhile extensions to the policy
Cancellation cover : providing protection against the loss of your rally deposit for any fortuitous cause
Rejoining Clause : providing you (or a professional crew) repatriation back to the boat if you have to return to the UK following a claim under the Medical/ repatriation section of the policy.
